What determines how long a tummy tuck incision needs to be? 👨‍⚕️

With over 30 years of experience performing tummy tuck procedures, Dr. Fodero carefully plans the incision length based on each patient’s anatomy and the contour needed.

An incision that’s too short can leave excess tissue at the ends, commonly called a “dog ear.” A longer incision may sometimes be needed to create a smoother, more even contour.
