First time Mom goes into labor.

Waters broke in the evening (clear and beautiful)

Mild cramping the next morning.

Throughout the day, labor picks up.

By the evening we head to the hospital.

Dilation showed cervix was still in early labor.
Baby may also be posterior.

Hospitals plan - Admit. Recheck in 2 hours. Start Pit.

Dad, an INCREDIBLE, INCREDIBLE PARTNER & ADVOCATE knew they had options.

To stick to their birth vision, they chose to leave. (w/OB support as Mom & baby were excellent)

Went home to rest/keep laboring in the comfort of their own familiar environment.

Just a few hours later Mom feels the urge to push.
(Convinced we may need to switch plans of baby IS in fact posterior)

Nope.

Turns out, Mom fully dilated in just 2 hours in the familiar space & safety of her own home.

Vaginal, unmedicated birth accomplished.

Had parents not been educated
Had Dad not been fully committed
Had Mom not leaned into her intuition and self trust
This birth would have gone VERY differently.

The point.
Birth looks different for EVERYONE.
One size doesn't fit all.
Individualized care is the GOLD.

"After a former colleague of mine shared her heartwarming and inspirational experience working with Renée, I knew that I needn’t look any further for the best doula out there when I became pregnant with my son.

Aligning with all of our values and dreams for the perfect birth experience, Renée seamlessly matched all of my and my husband’s energy from the very start.

She brought an immediate sense of security into an otherwise very exciting but nerve wracking pregnancy. Her demeanor let us know that she had our backs and that no matter how our birth went, she would be there to support us every step of the way and that is exactly what happened.

Though we planned and practiced for our dream birth experience with Renée for several months, our little guy had some other plans when he turned and stayed breech at the tail end of my pregnancy.

Despite all of the helpful recommendations for bodywork, spinning babies, acupuncture and a failed ECV, we were left planning a c-section to bring our baby boy into the world.

Although we began with Renée on a very different path, she was incredible at switching gears and continuing to support us as we navigated our new birth plan, giving us information and guidance through it all.

As first time, soon to be parents, we really appreciated how Renée shared not only her expertise, but also really unbiased and truthful information as we prepared to meet our baby boy.

She knew just what to do and say to calm our nerves when our son was born and was taken to the NICU for temporary monitoring. Renée was the guardian angel we never knew we would need so much but oh how thankful we were and are to have had her with us through it all.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Renée.

If you’re wondering if doula services are for you, I say yes and if you’re in the market for an excellent doula, there is no one better in our opinion.

"Working with Renée was one of the best decisions we made for our birth experience. It's honestly hard to put into words what she meant to us because no review could truly capture the impact she had.

From the very beginning, she made us feel prepared, confident, calm, and even excited for labor and birth. She has the perfect balance of warmth, knowledge, and encouragement—it felt like having your mom and your best friend by your side every step of the way.

Our birth didn't go according to plan. We faced several unexpected obstacles, including being transferred from the birth center, traveling during one of the worst blizzards of 2026, and ultimately having an unmedicated hospital birth. This is one makes me cry, every time. 

When this family found me, they weren't simply preparing for the birth of their second baby, they were choosing to rewrite their story. 

They were intentionally choosing to create and align for an experience that reflected; their values, their voice, and the kind of knowledged that elevated birth, that they knew deep down existed. 

From day one, they committed wholeheartedly to the process. This is what causes my heart to overflow.

They asked thoughtful questions vs. searching to be "saved".

They sought knowledge to empower vs. ruminating to avoid fear.

They prepared with intention trusting it would reveal itself vs. Someone giving it to them.

They trusted themselves and each other. 
They simply needed a loving guide. 
As their doula, it was so easy to lean in because they were willing and ready. 

Ready to own their authority.
Ready to own their courage and their path. 
I simply reminded them.

To this beautiful family, thank you.

Working with you as first-time parents was an absolute blessing. 🙏🏼

From the beginning, it was obvious that you are a true master of your craft. Your EQ is off the charts! And, the way you support families through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum is so incredibly intentional.

You helped coach and prepare us throughout the pregnancy so that when delivery day came, we felt calm, informed, and ready. And when it was finally go-time, you showed up in a major way for our family! Your presence during labor and delivery brought a level of confidence and reassurance that made all the difference in the world for us.

What stood out most to me was how intentional you were about supporting not just mom but dad as well. As a very pragmatic father-to-be, my focus was making sure mom and baby were cared for. But you consistently checked in with me too and made sure I had what I needed to be the best husband, father, and support system possible on delivery day.
