At PATCHES, learning is a big part of the care our children receive each day. Alongside our wonderful VPK teachers, we are so grateful to have MDCPS teachers on site who meet each child where they are and help make sure every student has the opportunity to keep learning and growing.

Today was an exciting day at our PATCHES Florida City center as we welcomed members of the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies!

We were honored to give Dr. Juan Gonzalez, Associate Dean of Undergrad Nursing Programs; Dr. Régine Reaves, Associate Professor and Clinical Director of Undergrad Nursing Programs; and Rosie Perez, Senior Program Coordinator of Undergrad Nursing Programs a tour of our center, introduce them to our team and share some insight about the care we provide each day.

Their visit today marks the beginning of an exciting new collaboration as we explore the opportunity to welcome University of Miami nursing students to PATCHES for their clinical rotations.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to help shape the next generation of nurses while giving their students a meaningful experience caring for children with medically complex needs. We can’t wait to see where this partnership leads!

One lucky little boy is about to have the best big siblings!! 🥹

Huge congratulations to our nurse, Dian, as she gets ready to welcome her sweet baby boy!! Our Fort Pierce team had the best time showering her with love and celebrating this exciting new chapter with a special baby shower.
