One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is watching a child grow into their own confidence and begin to shine.

These two have come such a long way in therapy. What once felt challenging is now met with smiles, and so much progress. Getting to witness that transformation is something we’ll never take for granted. 🙏🏼💜

Today we’re celebrating two very special members of our PATCHES family!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful CEO and co-founder, Kyle Smith, whose heart and dedication have helped make PATCHES the special place it is today. Your vision has touched so many lives, and we are forever grateful for the love you continue to pour into our mission and our children.

October is AAC Awareness Month! Whether it’s using his AAC device during speech therapy or simply pointing to show his nurse something, each interaction is an opportunity for him to express himself and be understood.

🌟AAC stands for ➡️ Augmentative and Alternative Communication. These tools help individuals who have difficulty with verbal speech communication through pictures, symbols, or speech-generating devices. AAC isn’t just about expressing basic needs. It’s about giving people more opportunities to connect with the world around them.

At PATCHES, we celebrate all forms of communication because every child deserves to have a voice, and every voice deserves to be heard.
