🥗 My New Kitchen Experiment – A Colorful, Healthy Vegetarian Salad! 🌿❤️

Being a vegetarian and a foodie, I love experimenting with different vegetables and creating something new!

Today I made a delicious air-fried kohlrabi and chayote salad, and it turned out amazing! 😋

Sometimes we vegetarians end up eating too many carb-heavy foods to feel full. But there are so many colorful, nutritious ways to enjoy a satisfying meal!

🌿 Here’s my simple recipe:

🥬 Kohlrabi and chayote (the green, pear-shaped vegetable), thinly sliced

Before air frying:

* Black salt and regular salt
* Black pepper
* Pomegranate molasses

Mix everything and air fry for about 10 minutes, until lightly roasted. Add a little lemon juice for freshness.

After air frying, add:

* Fresh pomegranate seeds ❤️
* Pumpkin seeds
* Roasted peanuts 🥜
* Crushed curry leaves

Mix everything and enjoy!

🌸 Why I love this combination:

🌿 Kohlrabi and chayote: Low in calories, rich in water, and provide fiber to support digestion.

❤️ Pomegranate: Provides antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds.

🍯 Pomegranate molasses: Adds a wonderful sweet-and-tangy flavor, although it also contains concentrated natural sugars.

🎃 Pumpkin seeds: Provide protein, magnesium, zinc, and healthy fats.

🥜 Peanuts: Add plant protein, healthy fats, and crunch, helping make the salad more satisfying.

🍃 Curry leaves: Add a beautiful aroma and flavor.

🍋 Lemon: Adds freshness and vitamin C.

The best part? It’s colorful, crunchy, flavorful, and filling without needing a large portion of rice, bread, or other starchy foods.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring. I believe in enjoying food, experimenting with ingredients, and nourishing our bodies naturally.

Food should be both nourishing and enjoyable! ❤️

Have you ever tried kohlrabi or chayote? I would love to hear how you prepare them!

My Journey From Asthma to Holistic Health 🌿

I saw a recent story about a young person struggling to afford his asthma inhaler, and it brought back memories of my own journey.

There was a time when I suffered from asthma, severe allergies and urticaria. I used inhalers, and I had two serious asthma attacks that took me to the emergency room.

For me, it wasn’t an insurance or financial issue. Having a background in modern medicine, I understood the importance of my medications, especially during an acute attack. But I also wanted to understand what else I could do to improve my health long-term.

That curiosity started my journey into holistic health.

Over time, I explored homeopathy, Ayurveda, yoga, breathing practices, nutrition and lifestyle changes. My health gradually changed, and eventually my asthma, allergies and urticaria symptoms resolved. This personal experience became one of the reasons I continued studying holistic approaches.

I am not saying to stop your inhaler or prescribed medication. Asthma can be life-threatening, and conventional medicine is extremely important, particularly in an emergency.

But I do want to say: don’t lose hope. Ask questions. Take care of the whole person. Explore safe complementary approaches alongside appropriate medical care.

I wish our healthcare system made evidence-based complementary and integrative care more accessible and affordable, including better insurance coverage where appropriate.

For me, the answer was not modern medicine versus holistic medicine. It was learning the value—and the limitations—of both. ❤️

✨ Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ✨

Recently, two families shared updates that filled my heart with gratitude.

💙 A young child struggling with ADHD was described by his mother as:"He's calmer now, communicating more, and even helping me around the house."

💙 Another client who had been experiencing anxiety, depression, sadness, and emotional overwhelm was described by her family as:"She is more active, more engaged, and we can see positive changes in her."

These changes may seem small to some, but to the families living through these challenges, they are priceless.

Healing is not always about making symptoms disappear overnight. Sometimes healing begins with a calmer mind, a brighter mood, better communication, more energy, and renewed hope.

Whether through Homeopathy, Bach Flower Remedies, Sound Therapy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, or other gentle natural approaches, the goal is always the same:

🌿 To support the body's innate healing intelligence.🌿 To restore balance.🌿 To help people reconnect with their best selves.

Every step toward balance is worth celebrating.

Thank you to all the families who trust The Wave Healing on their healing journey. Your progress inspires us every day.

With gratitude,Dr. Neelam KapilThe Wave Healing

🌿 Fresh Hibiscus & Lemon Balm Tea 🌿

Straight from my garden to my cup…

I love using hibiscus flowers when they are fully bloomed and about to fade — no guilt, no waste, just pure nature’s gift 🌺

Added a few lemon balm leaves, poured hot water, and let it sit for a few minutes… and this is the result — a soothing, healing tea with a beautiful color ❤️

Simple things like this bring so much peace and nourishment.

Enjoy your garden, enjoy your health 🌿
