FALSE! Every child’s “normal” can look a little different. Some kids may go more than once a day, while others may go every couple of days.

What matters most is that bowel movements are soft, comfortable, and easy to pass. If your child is having hard or painful stools, straining, or going several days without a bowel movement, it may be time to check in with a pediatric GI specialist. 💜💚

When a child has been dealing with chronic constipation, consistency matters. It can be tempting to stop laxatives as soon as things start moving, but the goal is to give their body time to heal and get back into a healthy routine.

Always follow the treatment plan recommended for your child, and if constipation keeps coming back, we’re here to help get to the bottom of it. 💜

Your child’s p**p can tell you a lot about what’s happening in their digestive system. While shades of brown, yellow, and even green can be completely normal, certain colors may be a sign that it’s time to check in with your child’s doctor.
