Oscity BioSciences’ Role — Proprietary, Patented Cannabinoid Solutions

Understanding the endocannabinoid system is only the beginning. The real opportunity lies in developing cannabinoid-based products that can work with it more effectively and deliver meaningful therapeutic value.

Oscity BioSciences is focused on exactly that. We are advancing proprietary, patented technologies centered on cannabinoid cocrystals, including our L-proline covered by U.S. patents 11,168,047 and 11,993,563. These innovations address key limitations of traditional forms: improved solid-state properties, enhanced purity pathways, greater stability, and the potential for better formulation and delivery characteristics needed for pharmaceutical and advanced therapeutic applications.

Our platform is designed to support the development of high-purity isolates and specialized formulas (including those aimed at inflammatory, , and related conditions) that can more reliably engage the body’s own endocannabinoid system. In our cGMP-certified facility, we are building toward scalable manufacturing and rigorous regulatory pathways so that these proprietary compounds can move from science into real-world therapeutic value.

The is fundamental. BioSciences is committed to developing the next generation of tools that work with it.

Why the Endocannabinoid System Matters?
The human endocannabinoid system (ECS) is often called one of the most important regulatory networks in the body, yet it remains under-recognized.

Its importance lies in its reach and its role as a bridge between body and mind. CB1 and CB2 receptors are distributed so widely that the influences nearly every major physiological process. When the system functions optimally, it supports resilience. When it is out of balance, research associates that imbalance with chronic pain, inflammatory conditions, neurodegenerative processes, mood disorders, sleep, and metabolic issues.

Because the ECS is so central to maintaining health, therapies that can gently and selectively support or modulate it hold significant therapeutic potential. Not all cannabinoid approaches are equal, however. Stability, purity, bioavailability, and how the compound interacts with the receptors matter greatly. Areas that Oscity BioSciences platform can address.

Scientific advancement in this space requires more than simply extracting plant compounds. It requires dedicated pharmaceutical-grade innovation that focuses on.

What Does the Endocannabinoid System Do?
The human Endocannabinoid System (ECS) doesn’t just exist, it actively works every day to keep your body in balance (homeostasis).

When something disrupts equilibrium — stress, injury, inflammation, or environmental changes — the body produces endocannabinoids on demand.

These molecules bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors and help modulate:
• Mood and stress response
• Pain sensation
• Appetite and metabolism
• Immune function and inflammation
• Sleep, memory, and neurological signaling
• Reproductive and gastrointestinal processes

Because endocannabinoids are made only when needed and then rapidly broken down, the system is highly precise and self-regulating. Dysregulation of the has been linked to a wide range of conditions, which is why it has become a major focus of therapeutic research and product development.

This is the biological foundation that makes thoughtfully designed cannabinoid compounds so promising. BioSciences is building on that science with proprietary approaches and patented products designed to engage the ECS more effectively.

What Is the Endocannabinoid System?
Have you ever wondered why your body can maintain balance amid constant change? Meet one of the most important systems you may never have learned about in school: the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

Discovered in the early 1990s, the ECS is a complex cell-signaling network present throughout the human body...in the brain, immune cells, organs, connective tissues, and more. It consists of three core components:
• Endocannabinoids (naturally produced molecules such as anandamide and 2-AG)
• Cannabinoid receptors (primarily CB1, concentrated in the nervous system, and CB2, more prominent in the immune system)
• Enzymes that synthesize and break down these molecules on demand

Unlike many other systems, the ECS works as a master regulator that helps keep internal conditions stable. Phytocannabinoids (from plants) can interact with the same receptors, which is why research into cannabinoid-based therapeutics continues to expand.

At Oscity BioSciences, we believe understanding the ECS is the foundation for developing next-generation, precision cannabinoid medicines. A mission our team is dedicated to.

New research highlights the power of cocrystals for C*D.

Cocrystals are generating serious interest in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical development, and for good reason. Many are curious about cocrystals and the advantages they offer.

A 2025 study published in CrystEngComm evaluated five C*D co-crystals designed to address C*D's well-known formulation challenges: low melting point, poor stability, and limited shelf life.

Every cocrystal tested melted at a higher temperature than pure C*D. Two performed especially well. The C*D-L-proline form stood out, remaining stable significantly longer than pure C*D under accelerated heat and humidity stress conditions.

The conclusion is straightforward: the right co-former meaningfully improves a cannabinoid's solid-state stability and handling properties.

This is precisely the foundation of Oscity Biosciences' patented approach. Our two granted U.S. patents, US 11,168,047 and US 11,993,563, cover co-crystal solid forms across the full cannabinoid spectrum using L-proline as the co-former, producing a single defined polymorph with consistent stability and dissolution characteristics that pure C*D and standard distillates cannot match.

The science is there. The IP is granted. The conversation is just getting started. www.Oscity.com
