🍣"Tristan & Becca’s Bang Bang Pow Pow Bowls!" 💥🐟
​That’s the official new name our residents gave to yesterday’s Culture-themed Blue Zone Food Demo!

Chef Tristan and our Life Enrichment Director, Becca, wanted to take a fun risk this month, so they teamed up to introduce something a little unique: Hawaiian Bang Bang Poké Bowls! 💙

​For a few of our residents, this was a brand-new flavor profile—but it turned out to be a HUGE hit! Chef Tristan even custom-named the topping "Becca's Bang Bang Sauce." 😋

​There is nothing better than watching our community try something new and absolutely love it. We’re already brainstorming for next month!

This Watermelon, Feta and Mint Salad is pure summer in a bowl. 🍉

Light, refreshing, and packed with hydration, it is an ideal recipe for older adults who want to stay nourished and cool on warm days, with anti-inflammatory ingredients that support overall wellbeing.

Ingredients
🌿 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
🌿 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
🌿 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, roughly torn
🌿 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
🌿 Juice of 1 lime
🌿 1 tablespoon olive oil
🌿 A small pinch of sea salt
🌿 Optional: a light pinch of chilli flakes for a gentle kick

Instructions
✅ Arrange the watermelon cubes and cucumber slices in a wide, shallow serving bowl.
✅ Scatter the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the top.
✅ Add the torn mint leaves, distributing them throughout the salad.
✅ In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and olive oil, then drizzle gently over the salad.
✅ Finish with a small pinch of sea salt and chilli flakes if using.
✅ Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes for an even more refreshing result. 🍋

Déjà Vu is scheduled the first Monday of every month at 2 pm!
