Have your allergies been acting up? Are traditional over the counter allergy medications not working? Try cleaning your liver!

Yes you read that correctly, I have seen again and again that when my clients reduce their baseline reactivity by cleaning up their diets, increasing hydration, and supporting the liver in its detox duties, that allergy symptoms they thought they were stuck with diminish, sometimes drastically.

Allergies are related to poor liver function, as the liver is one of the primary detox pathways in the body. The liver cleans the blood of toxins (such as antibodies, histamine, and chemicals). Such toxins overstimulate the immune system causing it to pour out inflammatory chemicals which may cause itching, rashes, hives, sinus congestion, etc.

Wednesday's can be tough, but only if you let them be!

Here's a reminder that you are enough! No one but you gets to decide who you are, what you believe in, or what qualifies as success.

Set goals, make choices, allow yourself to be authentically you without the weight of expectations impressed upon you by society, coworkers, even family members. The person that know you best is you, and to be truly happy you have to be true to yourself.

So get out there and embrace Wednesday as a day to be you!

"Your body hears everything your mind says. Stay positive."

A positive attitude is so important to achieving your health goals, yet it can be really easy to fall into negative self-talk. Here are some ways to replace negative thoughts with positive, empowering thoughts:

1. Be your own best friend: We are always supportive of our BFF and quick to remind them how awesome they are. If someone puts them down, we defend them! It's time to be our own best friend and sometimes that means defending ourselves from our own negative thoughts and put downs!

2. Affirmations: Write some affirmations or positive thoughts on post-its, then put them all over your house/workplace. Seeing those positive thoughts throughout the day will help to combat any negative thoughts you may have.

3. Ask for help: Sometimes it's hard to find positive things about ourselves, especially if we have been putting ourselves down for a long time. Ask close friends or family members to write down some things they love about you to get you started on your journey to positive self-talk!

4. Take care of your physical body: When we don't feel well, it can be hard to stay positive. Getting regular chiropractic adjustments, eating well, exercising regularly, and getting out of pain will all positively impact your health, body and mind!
