I first came to yoga while recovering from multiple running injuries. Full transparency: I went into it kicking and screaming because I didn't want to do yoga—I wanted to run!

What began as a low-impact way to stay active during recovery became a life-changing personal practice. Yoga gave me the space to simply be myself, exactly as I was. It taught me to slow down, be present, and experience life as it was happening instead of constantly chasing what I thought came next. Yoga never asked me to change who I was, lose weight, buy the latest gear, or have a "zen" personality. Instead, it became a steady source of support as I navigated midlife, empty nest, and many of life's unexpected challenges.

I earned my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification through Sue Park Yoga. While I enjoy practicing Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin, my heart is in teaching Yin and Restorative yoga. There is something truly special about watching students settle into stillness, soften, and embrace the quiet. In our busy, fast-paced world, these practices offer an opportunity to pause, breathe, and fully experience the present moment—a gift we don't often give ourselves.

Off the mat, I'm a wife, a mom to two grown children, and a dog mom to two sweet pups. I love spending time outdoors, whether I'm walking, reading on the porch, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature.

I am excited to announce that starting this Tuesday, July 21st Honey & Sage Healing will be offering Yin Yoga every Tuesday 6-7 pm with Jessica Chiapetta!

Yin/Restorative Yoga is a gentle and calming practice that focuses on deep relaxation and healing. This class involves long-held, passive poses that target deep connective tissues and promote flexibility and circulation. Perfect for all levels, it helps release tension, reduce stress, and restore balance to the body and mind. This is an opportunity to unwind, rejuvenate, and find tranquility.
