What if doing less actually helped you accomplish more?

We spend so much time figuring out how to fit everything in. From work, family, responsibilities and the never-ending to-do list, sometimes we forget to ask a different question: 𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳?

I'm excited to share that on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟳, I’m teaming up with Merrilyn Gibbs at Luminary NYC for an interactive conversation about creating more space in our lives — both practically and mentally.

Merrilyn will share strategies for recognizing what you can delegate and let go of, helping you reclaim some of your time. I'll take that a step further and explore what happens when we create some space (and sanity) in our minds, too, with simple mindfulness practices you can actually use during a busy workday. Because yes, we already do hard things but that doesn't mean we have to make everything harder by carrying all of it ourselves.

We'll talk, reflect, practice and hopefully leave with a few things we can actually put down, as well as a few practical tools to take with us. The event will close with a relaxing meditation and sound bath.

It's October 1st, Rabbit Rabbit! 🐇🐇

If you've never heard the expression, it's a tradition of saying "Rabbit Rabbit" on the first day of the month to bring a little extra luck. Whether it works or not...I'll probably never know, but I still smile every time I say it and see those little bunnies (especially in my backyard).

"The sky is not the limit. Your mind is." ~ Marilyn Monroe

This photo was taken at Electric Forest, where looking up was almost impossible not to do. Hundreds of colorful umbrellas floated overhead, transforming an ordinary walk through the trees into something unexpected. It wasn't the sky that had changed, it was the way we experienced it and fortunately, the weather was gorgeous.

When I developed the 2026 Reflections calendar last year and decided on using this picture, I came across this quote shortly after and it felt like the perfect choice.

How often are the limits in our lives real...and how often are they the stories we've repeated so many times that we've accepted them as truth?
"I'm too old."
"I'm too busy."
"I'm not qualified."
"It's too late."
"I'm not ready."

Maybe. Or maybe those are just umbrellas we've forgotten to look beyond.
As we head into the final months of the year, what if we challenged just one of the beliefs that's been holding us back? From embracing to overcoming, the possibilities are endless if we can see beyond our self-imposed limitations.

Not all of them at once, just start with one. Because we already know something important...we already do hard things.

So...Rabbit Rabbit! 🐰 🐰

Here's to new perspectives, unexpected possibilities and remembering to look up once in a while.

With gratitude,
Sarah

Do you have any irrational fears? Mine developed later in life and it happens to be long (sometimes high) bridges and spans.

Courage doesn't always look like a big, fearless moment. Sometimes it looks like gripping the steering wheel a little tighter (and connecting with your breath) as you approach a bridge you've been thinking about for miles. For me, this was the Susquehanna River Bridge outside Harrisburg, PA.

On a recent drive to Tennessee it meant facing something that has caused a lot of anxiety over the years. It also meant some serious mental preparation before the trip even started. Getting things packed, meditating, finding my breath before, throughout and after...my wellness toolbox was in overdrive and I'm grateful for it.

There were moments along the way when pulling over was necessary. I remember right before the bridge, there was a perfect rest stop with lush grass where Charlotte and I could walk. It gave me time to breathe, ground, meditate, reset...and ultimately, get back on the road because I was in it and there was no turning back.

The fear didn't magically disappear, it's still there...just more muted now. The difference was learning that 𝙄𝙏 wasn't in charge and that while the anxiety is there, I have the tools and support to manage it.

My biggest feat? On the way home I did an 11-hour solo drive, something that once felt completely out of reach (and that I had never done). Sometimes courage isn't about eliminating the fear, it's realizing you can keep moving even when it's sitting right there beside you. 💞

What have you overcome that you thought you never could?

There's still time to join us tomorrow for a somatic wellness event. Add some tools to your wellness toolbox and enjoy a relaxing sound bath.

September 2026
"May every sunrise hold more promise and every sunset hold more peace." ~ Umair Siddiqui

Flying is something that still amazes me. You're in a plane, 30k feet in the air and when you look out the window sometimes you see the most beautiful things. I have taken many pictures over the years during flight and be fortunate to capture awe-inspiring beauty. This one was taken on my way back from the west coast and while the sunset initially grabbed my attention, it was the crescent moon that made me pause. At thirty thousand feet, it's hard not to feel small and realize that while we're busy planning tomorrow, nature quietly reminds us to appreciate today.

Every morning begins with possibility.

Not because every day is extraordinary, but because every day gives us another chance to choose how we'll move through it. Some days we'll make progress and other days we'll simply make it through. The important thing to remember is that BOTH COUNT.

As the pace picks up this month and we settle back into our routines after summer, it's easy to measure our days by how much we accomplished. I wonder if a better measure is how we treated ourselves and the people around us while we were accomplishing it.

Did we listen? Did we laugh? Did we make time for someone who needed us? Did we give ourselves permission to pause before moving on to the next thing?

The sunrise doesn't promise a perfect day. The sunset doesn't ask whether you finished your to-do list. They simply remind us that every day has a beginning and an end, and what we choose to do in between becomes our life.

As September unfolds, I hope your mornings inspire possibility and your evenings bring the kind of peace that comes from knowing you lived the day well.

With gratitude,
Sarah

We spend a lot of time talking about how much we can handle.

The deadlines, responsibilities, work, family and all of the other things that somehow make their way onto our plates.

And the truth is, it's not whether we already do hard things - it's recognizing it and giving ourselves space to practice the pause.

But being capable of carrying a lot doesn't mean we have to carry it all, all the time.

This Labor Day, I'm thinking about the other side of work...finding space to stop, recognizing when we're running on empty and giving ourselves permission to rest before our bodies force us to. As someone who's been in the hospital twice this year, I have definitely learned to listen to my body more than ever.

So if you need the reminder today...
Take the break. Put down the phone. Step away from the work. Go outside. Take a breath. The hard things will still be there tomorrow, and the next day. And if you're looking for a little help, join us in September and October for a Websites & Wellness Event.

Take a breath, pause and enjoy your Labor Day!

With love,
Sarah & the SLC team

So...I had honestly forgotten today was my 'work anniversary' until I got some messages on LinkedIn. 😆

It's funny how these milestones make you stop for a minute and think about all the steps (and people) it took to get you where you are today.

This month marks two for me...ten years ago, I started my LLC and eight years ago, I made the decision to pursue entrepreneurship full time.

If you've known me for a while, you know this business has evolved more than once. It started with franchise consulting and career coaching, shifted into yoga and wellness during the pandemic and eventually led me (in 2022) to where I am today, helping entrepreneurs get visible online.

Looking back, I don't see a series of pivots, I see one purpose that's taken different shapes over the years: helping people take the next step and being of service and support to them as individuals and business owners.

When I think about the last decade, I don't think about the number of websites I've built or the projects I've completed. I think about the businesses that launched, the entrepreneurs who took a chance on themselves, the relationships that have grown along the way and the rebrands that gave companies new life.

Those are the moments that truly matter and I'm so grateful because entrepreneurship has been one of the most rewarding, and humbling, experiences of my life. There have been incredible wins, unexpected challenges and more lessons than I can count. Through it all, one thing has stayed the same: I love helping people build something they're proud of and supporting them in their journey.

To every client, referral partner, collaborator, friend and family member who has been part of my journey - thank you, thank you, thank you. Your trust, encouragement and support have made these last ten years more meaningful than I could have imagined or thought possible.

Looking back, one thing is clear...we ALL already do hard things, so here's to the next chapter. Can't wait to share it with you. ❤️

With gratitude,
Sarah

August 2026
"Shine like the whole universe is yours." ~ Rumi

This photo was taken in Kenya after a long day on safari, just as the sun was beginning to set. As the light faded, the landscape grew quiet, but the safari took on a different energy. We raced back to the lodge (for our safety) because that's when many of the animals began to emerge. At the same time, there was an excitement to the journey back, balanced by a sense of peace that settled over everything. That moment has always stayed with me as a reminder that every ending is the beginning of something else.
___

August always feels like a transition to me. Summer isn't quite over, yet you can sense what's coming, and maybe that's when you realize you need to take a breath. Many of us squeeze in last-minute vacations and slow down our daily routines, but before long, September arrives with full calendars, new projects and fresh commitments.

Before that happens, I like to pause because maybe this month isn't about doing more, maybe it's about asking ourselves better questions.

⏩ What do you want the rest of this year to look like?
⏩ What have you been putting off because it feels uncomfortable?
⏩ Where are you spending your energy, and is it aligned with what matters most?
⏩ Who needs your support? And just as importantly...where could you use a little support yourself?

And finally, what's one hard thing you've been avoiding that, if you finally faced it, could change everything (or at least something that has a major impact in your life)?

I don't think Rumi was encouraging us to be louder or take center stage. I think he was reminding us not to hide who we are and share our gifts without comparison, apology or waiting until everything feels perfect.

As you prepare for the season ahead, take some time for YOURSELF this month to regroup.
🧡 Rest if you need to
🧡 Refocus where it matters
🧡 Step into September with confidence, knowing that the light you bring is enough

If you're open to sharing, what does "shining" look like for you right now?

With gratitude,
Sarah

07/21/2026

The older I get, the less I believe life needs to fit neatly into separate boxes (or walls). Business, wellness, creativity and purpose don't compete with one another, they make each other stronger. That's the kind of life I'm building, and days like that spent with remind me of I'm exactly where I need to be.

Two weeks ago I got to experience Today's Office View for the second time. 🌊

This was my second sound bath on the water this year, and I'm pretty sure it's becoming one of my favorite places to create these experiences.

There’s something different about being surrounded by water. The movement of the boat, the breeze, the sounds of nature and the vibrations of the bowls all come together in a way that's hard to describe. You don't just hear the sound—you feel it.

It's also a reminder of something I've been thinking about a lot lately. The work I do through Second Life Careers & Solutions and SLH Yoga & Wellness may seem like two different worlds, but they're both centered around the same idea: helping people find clarity. Sometimes that happens through a website strategy session, and sometimes it happens while floating on the water with a singing bowl in your lap, connecting with amazing coaches.

I'm grateful for opportunities like this that remind me work can be meaningful, fulfilling and even a little magical. A deep and heart felt thank you to and of -s-office-view for a beautiful day on the water. It is always amazing and illuminating for mind, body, soul and business.
