Discover the Benefits of Dry Needling

Do you have muscle pain that just won't seem to go away? Whether it's a stiff neck, aching shoulders, lower back pain, or tight muscles from everyday activities, dry needling may help you find lasting relief.

Dry needling is a safe, evidence-informed treatment that uses very thin, sterile needles to target tight muscle bands, often called "trigger points." By releasing these areas of tension, dry needling can help reduce pain, improve blood flow, restore mobility, and encourage your body's natural healing process.

Many patients experience benefits such as:

✔ Reduced muscle pain and tension
✔ Improved flexibility and range of motion
✔ Faster recovery from injuries and workouts
✔ Relief from headaches caused by muscle tightness
✔ Better posture and movement patterns
✔ Less stress on joints and surrounding tissues

When combined with chiropractic care, dry needling can be even more effective. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper joint movement, while dry needling addresses the muscular component of pain. Together, they work to improve function, reduce discomfort, and help you get back to the activities you enjoy.

If muscle pain has been limiting your daily life, ask us whether dry needling is a good fit for your condition. We're here to help you move better, feel better, and live healthier.

📣 EXCITING NEWS, DRY NEEDLING IS COMING! 📣

We’re excited to announce that we will soon be offering Dry Needling as a new service in our office! 🎉

📅 Tentative start date: September 21, 2026

So, what is dry needling? 🤔

Dry needling is a technique that uses very thin, sterile needles to target tight muscles and sensitive trigger points. The goal is to help release muscle tension, improve movement, and reduce pain and stiffness.

Dry needling may be helpful for people dealing with:

🔹 Tight or stubborn muscles
🔹 Neck and shoulder tension
🔹 Low back pain
🔹 Muscle knots and trigger points
🔹 Headaches related to muscle tension
🔹 Hip and glute discomfort
🔹 Sports or overuse injuries
🔹 Limited mobility and stiffness

⭐ Why pair dry needling with chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care focuses on improving joint movement and overall function, while dry needling can address tight, irritated muscles that may be contributing to the problem. Used together when appropriate, they can be a great combination for helping you move better and feel better.

We’re putting the finishing touches on this new service and can’t wait to offer another option to help our patients!

📆 Dry Needling: Tentatively Available Beginning September 21!

Stay tuned for more information, including scheduling details and what to expect at your first dry needling appointment.

When examining a neck on an X-ray image, a graceful, forward curve is considered normal. This means the convexity should be facing forward, as seen in the "after" image on the right. This natural positioning is called a lordosis and represents the optimal alignment for the cervical spine.

When a nerve is compressed, you may experience pain, tingling, numbness, burning, or weakness. For example, irritation of a nerve in the lower back can cause symptoms that travel into the buttock or leg, while nerve compression in the neck can cause symptoms into the shoulder, arm, or hand.

Your chiropractor can evaluate the spine, joints, muscles, and movement patterns to determine what may be contributing to the nerve irritation. Treatment may include spinal manipulation or mobilization, soft-tissue techniques, stretching, therapeutic exercises, and posture or ergonomic changes.

The goal is often to improve joint mobility, decrease surrounding muscle tension, and reduce mechanical irritation around the affected area.

🧠 Your Nervous System & Chiropractic Care

Your nervous system is your body’s communication center. Your brain sends messages through the spinal cord and nerves to help coordinate movement, sensation, balance, and many other functions throughout your body.

Because the spine protects the spinal cord and is closely connected with the nerves that branch throughout the body, spinal health matters. Joint stiffness, muscle tension, poor posture, and limited mobility can contribute to discomfort and affect how well you move and feel.

🙌 Chiropractic care focuses on improving spinal and joint function, reducing musculoskeletal tension, and supporting healthy movement. Many patients also find that chiropractic care helps them feel more comfortable, mobile, and relaxed.

Your spine does more than help you stand tall; it protects an important part of your nervous system. Take care of your spine, move your body, and support your overall health!

Lower Cross Syndrome isn't just "tight hips"; it's a muscle imbalance that can lead to poor posture, lower back pain, hip discomfort, and even knee problems. Long hours of sitting often tighten the hip flexors and lower back while weakening the core and glutes.

The good news? It can be improved! Chiropractic care, targeted stretching, strengthening exercises, and better posture habits can help restore balance, reduce pain, and get you moving comfortably again. If you've been dealing with nagging lower back or hip pain, it may be time to find out if Lower Cross Syndrome is the cause.
