We're honored to share these heartfelt words from Kim, child of our patient, Carolyn.

"They were very good at explaining the dying process in ways the family could understand. Calling in the family when the end was near so we could talk to her. Making sure she received her pain med so she was comfortable and the task of breathing wasn't so hard." -Kim, Child

Meet Shareda, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner.

Shareda has been with us since November 2025. She shares that she has always loved providing care as a nurse and NP and has been in the field for many years, but palliative care has become a new passion.

One of the most meaningful aspects of her experience at Agape Care has been the support she has received from her clinical leader. Coming from a military background, she wasn’t used to that level of consistent, direct support. Strong leadership and ongoing support have created a space for her to grow, develop, and truly step into the palliative care specialty.

She is grateful to be part of a team that values growth, support, and meaningful patient care. Outside of work, Shareda enjoys yard work and working out. One thing that might surprise people is that she also does armed security work—which she loves!

Thank you for your Service, Shareda!

Many families tell us they wish they had learned about hospice sooner. Early referral of a patient appropriate for hospice care ensures that, once they elect the benefit, they receive the full benefit of comfort-focused, compassionate care.

We'd like to share a heartfelt message from Susan, daughter of our patient Vinson. Moments like this are why our teams do what they do. It’s more than care—it’s being there when it matters most.

"My family was very fortunate to have a facility that expressed compassion from the time my dad entered the doors until he took his last breath. We are thankful for each and every one of the ladies and gentleman that took care of father, from the house dog, house keepers, nurses, doctors and volunteers."

We join Hands of Hope in honoring Bereaved Parents Awareness Month, recognizing the enduring love parents carry for their children. 💜

💜 Honoring Bereaved Parents Awareness Month 💜

For parents who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child, the journey of grief is deeply personal and profound. During Bereaved Parents Awareness Month, we honor their strength, love, and enduring bond with their children.

At Hands of Hope, we are here to provide ongoing support, comfort, and a compassionate space for parents to navigate their grief. To every bereaved parent: Your child’s life and legacy matter, and you are never alone. 💙

Let’s take this time to raise awareness, foster understanding, and extend kindness to those living with loss.
