A concussion is a functional injury so it might evade imaging. Tell someone if you hit your head, enough to notice it. I used to have my children rate how hard they were hit in the head. The school nurse would say she never has to wonder because my boys as young as 5 would say “it was like a 5”. Tell me your mom is a neuropsychologist without telling me.

If your neurologist clears you, and you still have symptoms, seek out a neuropsychological evaluation

Summers are brutal; ask any parent.

Focus on life skills, critical thinking, being safer and more confident. Here are some examples;

1. Make your bed, let me show you how. Let them mess it up, they’ll get better only if you insist they do it DAILY

2. Laundry. Expect spilled detergent

3. Eye contact, social conversations, stand taller, don’t pick your nose, all the things that bother you all year, this is your chance to address, gently, with encouragement

4. Grocery shopping; give them a list to run off in the store and come back with, ofc depending on age/dev level

BPD is a difficult and often lifelong pattern of behavior which can be prevented or corrected if caught early. We can’t give someone a BPD diagnosis before age 18 for that reason.
