Meet Teresa Morales, LPCC

Teresa brings a grounded, real-world perspective to therapy. Her approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage emotional challenges, build effective coping skills, and work through trauma. She believes therapy should be both practical and meaningful—providing insight, tools, and support for everyday life.

Teresa works with adults navigating a range of complex challenges, including anger management, mood and personality disorders, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns.

She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an effective approach for treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and grief. ART is a brief, non-invasive therapy that can help clients find relief while remaining in control of the process.

Teresa is available virtually for anyone in MN or in person in Forest Lake.

Bridges and Pathways Counseling Services offers Rule 25 chemical health assessments conducted by a clinician trained in substance use evaluation and treatment recommendations.

A Rule 25 assessment is a comprehensive substance use evaluation based on Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) guidelines. The purpose of the assessment is to determine whether a person meets criteria for substance use disorder treatment and to recommend the appropriate level of care.

During the assessment, clinicians review several areas of a person’s life including substance use history, mental and physical health, readiness for change, risk of relapse, and the individual’s support system and recovery environment. These assessments are commonly required for legal situations, or for individuals seeking treatment or funding for services.

You may need a Rule 25 assessment if you are seeking treatment for substance use, if a court, probation officer, or employer has requested one, or if you are exploring insurance- or county-funded treatment options.

Many assessments may be billed through insurance depending on your plan and medical necessity. Self-pay options are also available if insurance does not apply.

🎨Did you know that Bridges and Pathways has a play therapy room for children?🎭

Play therapy is a specialized therapeutic approach that helps children communicate, explore emotions, and work through challenges using the language they know best—play. In a structured and supportive playroom, therapists use toys, art, storytelling, and creative activities to help children express feelings they may not yet have the words for.

Through play therapy, children can build emotional regulation, confidence, problem-solving skills, and healthier ways of relating to others.

At Bridges and Pathways, several of our therapists are trained in the play therapy model and support children and families with concerns such as anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, grief, family transitions, and social or school-related difficulties. Our child therapists provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate mental health support to help kids grow and thrive.
