September is Su***de Prevention Month. For providers, schools, employers and community organizations, this month is an important reminder of the urgent need to identify risk, reduce barriers to care and connect individuals with appropriate treatment.

Individuals who are experiencing suicidal thoughts may feel overwhelmed and not know where to begin. You can offer clear guidance, supportive communication and a direct connection to treatment. In some cases, immediate intervention and hospitalization may be necessary; in others, outpatient therapy programs may provide the support they need.

Let us work together to ensure that individuals know that treatment is available and encourage them to seek help. Referral sources can make a meaningful difference by normalizing treatment, offering clear next steps and connecting people to accessible services.

Su***de is preventable. You can be the bridge between someone in crisis and the treatment they need. To schedule a level-of-care assessment, call us today at 708-209-4181

Did you know that nature can be a powerful tool for your mental health?

Our Creative Arts Therapy Team has added a special touch to our outdoor space: Sensory Plants! Our team is using the healing power of plants to help our patients feel grounded, calm, and safe. Here is how it helps: Calming Scents: Plants like lavender and mint help lower stress and ease anxiety. Healing Textures: Fuzzy leaves and soft grasses give hands a soothing, mindful focus. Fresh Air: Spending just a few minutes in a green space can improve your mood and boost your energy.

Taking a moment to slow down in nature is the purest form of self-care.

Community Connections in Action!

Yesterday afternoon, our Business Development Rep, Gary, had the opportunity to connect with the team at San Lucas and learn about the amazing work they do, like running a food pantry, serving hot meals, and providing utility assistance. He joined the 14th District Chicago Police CAPS program at their community event, where he was able to donate items and discuss new ways to collaborate to support community members in need.

Building relationships and creating partnerships is fundamental to who we are, and it was an honor to support our community together.
