Stroke prevention? We’ll take it! 🧠❤️

While strokes are more common as we age, they can happen at any age. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), roughly 10–18% of strokes occur in people under the age of 50.

Another great reminder that knowing the risk factors, recognizing the warning signs, and knowing what to do can truly make a difference. While not all strokes look the same, it's best to be prepared!

A cervical artery dissection is a tear that occurs within the walls of the arteries that feed blood to the brain. These tears can allow blood to pool and cause blockages – strokes – that starve the brain of oxygen.
