Today, we had the privilege of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone.
For 45 years, Miss Shirley McGee has faithfully served the residents and families of Lackey Convalescent Home with compassion, dedication, and a servant’s heart. Through countless days, holidays, celebrations, and difficult moments, she has been a steady presence and a source of comfort for those entrusted to our care.
In long-term care, our team members become more than caregivers…..they become extended family. They share in the stories, laughter, challenges, and precious moments that make life meaningful. Miss Shirley has spent more than four decades building those relationships and making a lasting difference in the lives of so many. 💙
While she’s not ready to retire anytime soon, we couldn’t let this incredible milestone pass without celebrating her. Today, we gathered with cookie cake, punch, and grateful hearts to honor 45 years of service, loyalty, and love.
Ms. Shirley, thank you for walking these halls, caring for our residents, and being such an important part of the Lackey family. Your impact cannot be measured, but it will be felt for generations.
