Today is !

The holiday, which originated in Galveston, Texas, in 1865, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. This day represents freedom and justice for Black Americans and serves as an opportunity for all of us to educate ourselves about the continued impact of trauma caused by slavery.

Today, we’re focusing on uplifting Black voices in mental health by highlighting Black-led mental health organizations. We hope you’ll celebrate Juneteenth by supporting their work. ♥️

It’s probably safe to say that everyone you encounter is dealing with something. Look carefully, as some people not only hide it from others, they actually hide it from themselves.

Even though life doesn’t provide resources, or support evenly, what is universally available is our capacity to care. A gentle word , a kind-hearted smile, a moment of presence can make someone feel seen. That may translate to feeling safer too, and more able to navigate even stormy waters..

Everyone has the capacity for kindness. So consider this to be your superpower, and use it often. You may change/inspire someone’s perspective in ways you/they never thought possible.

Drop some 🤍🤍🤍 if you see the power of simple kindness.
