Fort HealthCare was proud to host students and community members for a Hands-On Career Day filled with learning, exploration, and fun! This event provided the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals throughout our organization, participate in interactive activities, and discover the many career opportunities available throughout our organization.

From direct patient care to diagnostics, technology, rehabilitation, and support services, healthcare offers opportunities for a wide range of interests and talents.

A special thank you to everyone who attended and to our dedicated staff who helped make the day both educational and engaging. We loved sharing what makes healthcare such a meaningful and exciting field!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our Mammogram Clinics on October 10 and October 17 a success.

Thank you to the patients who took the time to prioritize their health and preventive screenings. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our incredible staff who spent part of their Saturdays caring for our community and helping the events run smoothly.

A special thank you to Fort Nutrition for joining us and serving their delicious, nutritious drinks that added an extra touch of wellness and hospitality to the experience.

If you were unable to attend one of our Saturday clinics, we still offer Walk-In Mammograms on the first Wednesday of every month from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Fort Memorial Hospital's Imaging (Radiology) Department. Fort HealthCare Social Spotlight: Patti Linse

Title: Radiologic Technologist (Multi-Modality)
Years with Fort HealthCare: 40 years (Started July 28, 1986)

Meet Patti Linse — a dedicated imaging professional whose four-decade career at Fort HealthCare reflects a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and exceptional patient care. Over the course of 40 years, Patti has embraced new technology, expanded her expertise across multiple imaging specialties, and grown alongside the organization.

Patti began her career at Fort HealthCare as an X-ray Technologist shortly after graduating from her program. Within six months, she expanded her skills by training in Computed Tomography (CT), demonstrating an early willingness to learn and take on new challenges. For decades, she provided care in both X-ray and CT imaging before adding Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to her skillset in 2025. Today, Patti is registered in all three modalities and serves patients across multiple areas of diagnostic imaging.

Throughout her career, Patti has developed the ability to work independently while adapting to the significant growth of the Radiology department. What was once a small department has grown to a team of more than 50, reflecting both the evolution of healthcare imaging and Fort HealthCare’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of the community.

A key contributor to Patti's success has been the support and mentorship she received from experienced colleagues. She credits several long-tenured team members with helping shape her professional growth through steady, consistent guidance. Those relationships helped her build the knowledge, confidence, and expertise that continue to define her career today.

Among her proudest accomplishments are earning her CT certification in 2010 and obtaining her MRI certification in 2025. These milestones represent years of dedication to advancing her knowledge and staying current with evolving imaging technologies.

Looking ahead, Patti remains focused on learning and professional growth. She is currently expanding her knowledge of cardiac CT imaging and embraces the ongoing opportunities that come with advancements in medical technology. For Patti, one of the most rewarding aspects of a career in healthcare is that there is always something new to learn.
