Finally getting around to posting about racing his first ~200 (207mi) actually 😆

Mud, rain, thunder, lightning, dropped chains, running in front of a stopped train and through waist deep water I could go on about the epic day that it was out there! Glad to have finished with minimal damage to the bike and body and lots of lessons learned. Not sure if I’ll tackle this one again but time will tell. (It’s likely I’ll be back 🤔)

Now to get back to work for some exciting announcements at Adapt and training for !

Also huge shoutout to for a sweet sprinter to glamp in for the weekend as well as the guys .northerncolorado for getting my bike dialed and rolling smooth once again! My Seigla performed great and handled the mud better than most around me during the race!

Last weekend and the fam traveled out to Fruita, CO to race 123 miles formerly CO2UT. He ended up 4th overall with significant improvements in his course time and power numbers on the day compared to last year’s race! This year more structured training with focused VO2 Max intervals as well as longer sweet spot efforts played a huge part in the gains as well as consistent strength training in addition to time on the bike. The hours in the saddle have been reduced but the quality of those hours has been much more focused! Also having a dialed bike setup thanks to .northerncolorado had a huge part to play in a smooth mechanical free day out! Up next is the big one see you soon Emporia!
