Colorado State University is a key partner in long-term project, which tracks dogs across their lifetimes to study how environment, genetics, and lifestyle influence aging.

Findings suggest that aging is not driven by genetics alone, but is shaped by a combination of biological and environmental factors. Because dogs share many aspects of the human environment, this research provides valuable insight into the processes of aging and potential strategies to promote healthy aging across species.
