Mary Beth is next up in our "Toys to Tools" series! When she was young, Mary Beth loved baby dolls. Today, she uses baby dolls in her work!

For Mary Beth, gently holding a bundled doll while a child looks on, and saying things like, "I'm going to rock my baby so gently because she is scared" or "I'm going to hold him so close so he knows I will always protect him" or "My baby is hungry, so I am going to make sure he has a full tummy" helps children who may have some unmet nurturing needs to aborb a little something by osmosis.
