Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest travel times of the year but the need for blood never takes a holiday. ❤️🤍💙

During holiday weeks, donations often drop due to schools and businesses being closed, fewer blood drives taking place and our centers closing for the holiday. These changes can quickly impact local blood inventory.

In honor of World Blood Donor Day, we’re celebrating the people who make saving lives possible — YOU! Join us for a day of giving back while enjoying free food, exclusive donor swag and a fun community health fair.

🩸 Donate blood or platelets and help save local lives while connecting with teams across UCHealth and our community partners.

Here’s what you can expect:
✨ Free food from the Southern Twist food truck for donors from 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
✨ Exclusive World Blood Donor Day gifts for all donors (while supplies last)
✨ Meet representatives from:
• UCHealth Organ Donation Team
• UCHealth Trauma Services
• Aspen Club
• UCHealth Cancer Services

🐶 Plus, visit with CSU veterinary representatives to learn about their canine blood donation program — and meet some heroic canine blood donors!

You can also get information on colon cancer, breast cancer, and radon detection during our community health fair.
