🚗🏁What a great day to to be outside looking at all these beautiful classic cars ! We had so much fun reminiscing and seeing everyone’s rides ! Thank you The 810 Car Crew for coming out again this year and putting so many smiles on our residents faces ! Thank you DJ J-Rock for providing us with some music to listen to and also a special thank you to Marysville A&W Restaurant for the root beer floats ! Today was a success and we are so thankful to our wonderful community! We can’t wait until next year ! 🏁🚗

If you only remember one question from your senior living research, make it this one: "What is your daytime staff-to-resident ratio?"

Ours is 1 caregiver for every 6 residents during the day.

That single number decides almost everything families care about: how fast someone comes when your mom presses her pendant, whether staff have time to sit and talk or only time to complete tasks, whether anyone notices that Dad's appetite changed this week.

Staffing is the biggest expense in senior living, which is exactly why it's the first place some operators cut. It's also why we don't compete on lowest price, and we're upfront about that.

One of the hardest calls families make is deciding whether Mom's forgetfulness is "just aging" or something more. Here's a useful way to think about it.

Normal aging is forgetting where you put your keys. A pattern worth evaluating is forgetting conversations that just happened, repeating questions, or getting turned around on streets you've driven for decades.

Mild cognitive impairment sits between normal aging and dementia, and it's exactly the stage where evaluation matters most. Per Apollo Health, the ReCODE program serves individuals with MCI to early-stage dementia, and it is most effective when started early. The earlier the intervention, the greater the potential.

Waiting to see feels easier. Acting early gives your family more options. If you're seeing a pattern, start with a doctor's evaluation, and if you want to understand what cognitive recovery looks like, our team is glad to talk.

Developed by Apollo Health Co , this personalized program uses each participant’s unique biomarkers to create an individualized plan designed to support cognitive health and address the underlying causes of cognitive decline.

For more than 30 years, Lakeshore Woods has been committed to serving our community, and we’re honored to bring this groundbreaking program to individuals and families facing Alzheimer’s disease.

Senior care has a turnover problem. Industry-wide, many communities replace a large share of their care staff every single year, which means residents keep having to explain themselves to strangers.

Lakeshore Woods runs differently. Some of our team members have been caring for residents here for 10, 15, and 20+ years.

Why does that matter? Because good care is built on knowing people. Knowing that Eleanor doesn't like breakfast before 8. Knowing which resident jokes when he's fine and goes quiet when he's not. That knowledge takes years, and it only exists where staff stay.
