Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality in the United States.

Juneteenth serves as a time to reflect on our nation’s history, recognize the strength and contributions of Black Americans, and reaffirm the importance of dignity, opportunity, and respect for all.

As we commemorate this day, we also recognize the value of community, service, and continued progress toward a healthier and stronger future together.

On June 14, 1775, the Continental Congress established the U.S. Army and, two years later, adopted the official American flag.
