Share this with a woman who’s been wondering why “doing more” still isn’t making her feel better…
Women weren’t even required to be included in clinical research until 1993.
Which means most of what we’ve been taught about productivity, motivation, and even mental health… was built on male biology.
And here’s the shift that changes everything:
Men are largely driven by dopamine → reward, chase, achievement.
Women are more strongly regulated by oxytocin → connection, safety, bonding.
So when you’re trying to “push through,” hustle harder, or isolate to get ahead… it can actually backfire on your nervous system.
Because your brain isn’t asking for more pressure.
It’s asking for more connection.
This is why:
• A walk with a friend resets you faster than another hour of work
• Feeling supported increases your focus and follow-through
• Community isn’t a luxury… it’s biology
When women understand this, everything changes.
You stop forcing what was never designed for you… and start working with your brain instead of against it.
If you’ve been feeling off, unmotivated, or like you’re doing “all the right things” but still burnt out… this might be why.
And it’s exactly why I created spaces for women to reconnect—with themselves and each other.
