With over 14 years of experience as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Susan Varghese, understands the humanity in healthcare. Dr. Varghese received her Bachelor’s in Health Science from the University of Miami and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Varghese’s career has made and continues to have a positive impact on the lives of many patients. Having led her into a variety of settings such as hospitals, acute rehabs and outpatient clinics, her passion for providing care is now taking her into the home setting. As the owner of Interim Healthcare of Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Varghese is determined to make the lives of clients healthier, happier, and safer while also providing an empowering work environment for caregivers. Not every home care team is trained by the person who trains Florida's caregivers.

Our co-owner, Dr. Susan Varghese, is a Florida Department of Elder Affairs–approved Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) training provider. She created her own dementia-care curriculum and teaches caregivers and health professionals how to care for people living with Alzheimer's with skill, patience and dignity.

That training is in every home our nurses and aides visit here in Broward County. And every day, we see what this disease takes from families.

That's why Dr. Susan is leading Team Interim HealthCare of Broward County in the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, December 5 at Nova Southeastern University. Our goal is $10,000 for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
