Federal employees and retirees: you may have a hearing aid benefit you've never used.

A lot of people assume hearing aids are entirely out of pocket. If you're covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield's Federal Employee Program, that may not be the case.

For 2026, Standard Option and Basic Option cover hearing aids for adults 22 and over — up to $2,500 every 5 calendar years. (FEP Blue Focus does not include a hearing aid benefit.)

Florida Hearing Matters is in network for both FEHB and PSHB. Prior approval is required, and we take care of that paperwork for you.

We're also a TruHearing provider and we accept the Wellcare Spendables card.

🦻 An Incredible Weekend with Special Olympics Florida 💙
This past weekend was one of the most rewarding days I've had! I volunteered with the Healthy Athletes program at Special Olympics Florida, and I got to help hundreds of amazing athletes prepare for competition.
I spent the day doing hearing screenings and cleaning ears with my favorite tool (we call it the "Earigator" 😄). Watching each athlete's face light up when they could hear better was incredible. The gratitude from their families meant everything to me.
Here's what really got me: so many of these athletes deal with health challenges every day, but they show up, they compete, and they inspire everyone around them. Being able to provide simple care that made a real difference felt like such a privilege.
But the BEST part? My twin 12-year-old daughters volunteered with me. They helped hand out equipment, cheer on the athletes, and support me throughout the day. Seeing them care about others and give back at such a young age was honestly one of the proudest moments of my parenting life. 💚
