Forty-eight years ago today, the world's first IVF baby was born — and everything changed.
Since that day in 1978, more than thirteen million people have come into the world through IVF. Thirteen million children. Thirteen million families that, not so long ago, simply wouldn't have been possible.
For 37+ years, Unilab has been honored to play a small part in that story. Behind every fertility journey there's a lab quietly at work — running the tests, screening the donors, delivering the answers that help physicians guide their patients forward. It's work we've never taken for granted.
To the doctors we serve, the scientists who came before us, and every family who trusted the process through the hardest moments — thank you. We are endlessly grateful to work in a field where science and hope meet, and where the result is something as simple and profound as a family.
Happy World IVF Day.
