Today is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day.
In Florida, 1 in 174 Hispanic and Latino people is living with HIV. Latino men here are diagnosed at 3.4 times the rate of white men. For Latina women it’s 2.3 times.
Those gaps aren’t about behavior. They’re about who gets offered a test, who can afford care, and who gets treated well when they walk in the door.
Knowing your status is a good place to start.

Food for Health's Fort Lauderdale market turned four, and this weekend we recognized the volunteers who keep it running.

Since 2022, the market has been getting fresh produce from local farms to families across Broward County every Saturday morning. That only works because people show up early, unload trucks, stock tables, and stay through the last neighbor in line.

Thank you to everyone we honored this weekend. If you want to get involved, we're there every Saturday.

We marched. Now we vote. Florida's Primary Election is Tuesday, August 18, and polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The We The People March brought us into the streets. Today we take that same energy to the polls, because showing up is how we build stronger, healthier communities. Bring a valid photo ID with your signature, and if you're not sure where to go, your county Supervisor of Elections website will show your polling place. Already in line at 7 PM? Stay in line. You can still vote.

Every vote matters. Every voice counts. Show up for your neighbors, your health, and your community, and bring a friend.
