Sand therapy symbolism: The Mórrígan is intimately acquainted with mystery of death. She is an Irish mythological goddess of war, fate, and transformation. Her dark imagery, including crows and ravens, is sometimes used metaphorically in personal self-exploration or expressive arts to process trauma, grief, and personal empowerment.

I recently acquired this image and others from the collection of my dear friend and mentor Dr. Gisela Schubach DeDomenico. The Mórrígan is the right place to begin to integrate part of her collection into my own and to both grieve her loss and continue the work.

Most often when I put a new image in the collection it largely goes unnoticed. This eye drew attention from many this week. The symbol of the evil eye is protective. Eyes also symbolize divine watchfulness, inner wisdom, and the "gateway to the soul". I am curious how others will choose to use it in their journeys.

As a witness to the work in the sandtray one of the most essential functions is to slow the experiencing of the builder. In slowing my speech, my breath, my movements, I give space for the bullet to slow, to experience fully, to have the space needed to grow and heal.

Sisterhood is Medicine.

Having or growing community is a vital part of emotional health.

Found these three sisters on a thrift shop hunt for new additions to the collection. I am always adding to it. Dr. Gisela Schubach DeDomenico said to me that the collection reflects the consciousness of the collector and should not be stagnant. It should continue to grow and change.
