Our first Tales of the Cocktail is in the books.

We came in curious. We’re leaving convinced. The no+low conversation wasn’t tucked in a corner this year, it was on the main floor, in the seminars, behind the bars, in the glass.

This isn’t a trend. It’s here to stay.

Six days, 150k steps, a few hundred handshakes, and somewhere north of a hundred club sodas consumed. Grateful for every brand, bartender, and new friend who made room for us.

Day 3 at Tales cemented what we’ve believed in for three years: this isn’t a trend. The alcohol-free movement is here to stay, and it’s great to see that everyone from the brands to the bars is on board.

Rolled out with the run/walk club again (we’re regulars now). Sat in on the big data behind the bar industry seminar. Found a club soda rave. Talked to tons of bartenders. Watched a club soda competition crown Q Mixers on the rocks. took over House of Blues with an open club soda bar and enough food to justify the morning run. Mandatory stop at Ryan’s, nightcap at Maison on Frenchmen.

Three down, New Orleans.

Went all in on no + low day two at Tales of the Cocktail. Biggest takeaway: the movement is here to stay, and you better not call it a Mocktail!

Two seminars. More tastings than we could count. First Pathfinder pour ever (it’s awesome!), and and walked us through the whole history behind it. Caught the recording live. Closed it out at Smart Tab party, thank you Daniel, Blaise and Michael for the invite — double club soda on the rocks the whole night. Two down, New Orleans.

Day one at Tales of the Cocktail in the books

Walked with the run club. Sat in on the seminars. Took the zero proof bar takeover personally. Scott survived the ice plunge (barely). Closed it out on Bourbon Street with the after parties — clear heads, full hearts.
