Birkwood Village is so proud to employ a team of staff members who consistently go above and beyond the standard of care. Each department within our Village displays love and compassion to each resident we have the honor to care for.

The collaboration between staff members to make a residents final wishes come true, was such a bright, wonderful light throughout such a tough transition for the resident and her family.

A gesture that may seem small to others, was a beautiful act of kindness for this family, and for the rest of our Village to witness.

This is what Birkwood Village is all about; care, kindness, love, compassion, and dedication to our residents and their loved ones each and every day!

A sweet letter written by one of our long-term care residents was such a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do at Birkwood Village! It’s encouraging to see that our Village Values make such an impact on our residents’ lives.

Working in healthcare can be a very demanding job but it’s even more rewarding; even more so when a resident expresses their appreciation!

🤗 A great week with even greater people! 🤗

This week in our long-term and skilled care neighborhood…

-We got to welcome back the Noisy Neighbors for yet another fantastic performance 🎶🎤🎸

-We celebrated a friend from our skilled unit going home with a cake & punch social for residents and staff 🎂🍾🥳

-We might’ve set a new record for most people in the activity room at one time for Thirsty Thursday; an afternoon chock-full of music, laughter, and reminiscing about old memories while making new ones 🍻😎

-Finally, we spent today winding down, playing extra games of BINGO and enjoying refreshments during our comedy shows 🎭😹🥤

Time for a weekend of rest and relaxation so we’re ready for all the things next week has in store for us! 😌🧘🏼✝️
