He’s already becoming a bit of a local celebrity, making appearances in social media posts around town. But now, he needs YOUR help!

September is World Alzheimer’s Month - an important opportunity to raise awareness, encourage understanding and support the families navigating memory loss alongside someone they love.

Rita Hill,Director of Resident Services, at Highpoint at Fort Mill, recently joined Catherine Madden on WRHI’s Palmetto Mornings to share her expertise on Alzheimer’s disease and memory care.

During the conversation, Rita discusses signs families should be aware of, how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, ways loved ones can offer support and the role a specialized Memory Care environment can play in providing compassionate, purposeful care.

We’re grateful to Rita for sharing her knowledge and helping families better understand a journey that touches so many.

A little horsing around never hurt anybody! 🐴🌾

Highpoint at Fort Mill residents traded community life for farm life during a visit to Agape Acres, where they spent the day enjoying the beautiful countryside and making a few new four-legged friends along the way.

From petting horses and visiting with the other animals to simply taking in the fresh air and scenery, it was the perfect excuse to get outside, try something different and enjoy a day together.

Safe to say, this crew was right at home on the farm! 🐎

We kicked off football season the Highpoint way with a tailgate right in our cottage neighborhood!

Residents, friends and guests came together for grilled favorites, cold drinks, lawn games, raffles and plenty of Gamecock spirit. From spending time with neighbors to welcoming new faces, it was a morning filled with good food, good company and a whole lot of fun.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a great one!

Hats off to this creative crew! 🎩

Residents at Highpoint at Fort Mill recently put their personal style on display during a hands-on hat design experience. After a full lesson, each resident created a custom design and brought their vision to life, resulting in some truly one-of-a-kind creations.

And, of course, the best part was showing off the finished looks!

Hats off (or hats on, in this case!) to our residents for another afternoon filled with creativity, learning and plenty of personality.
