Hot weather and outdoor activity can quickly lead to dehydration and heat-related illness — even if you feel “fine.” Whether you’re working outside, exercising, hiking, playing sports, or just spending time in the sun, staying hydrated is one of the best ways to protect your body.
Warning Signs of Heat Illness:
🔥 Dizziness or lightheadedness
🔥 Headache
🔥 Muscle cramps
🔥 Nausea
🔥 Excessive sweating OR suddenly stopping sweating
🔥 Rapid heartbeat
🔥 Confusion or extreme fatigue
Stay Safe in the Heat:
✅ Drink water consistently — don’t wait until you’re thirsty
✅ Take breaks in the shade or A/C
✅ Wear light-colored, breathable clothing
✅ Avoid peak heat hours when possible
✅ Replace electrolytes if sweating heavily
✅ Check on children, pets, and older adults often
⚠️ Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can become dangerous fast. If someone becomes confused, faints, has hot dry skin, or struggles to cool down, seek medical help immediately.
Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe this summer. ☀️💙
