A huge thank you to the AzHHA (Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association) Workforce and Clinical Excellence team for facilitating on-site, high-risk obstetrical emergency simulations for our staff!
We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and dedication to protecting moms and babies.
Maternal emergencies require split-second teamwork. By bringing hands-on, multidisciplinary training directly into our departments, this initiative builds clinical confidence for frontline staff, strengthens communication across medical teams, and ensures a rapid response during critical maternal events.
This specialized training focuses on critical scenarios like postpartum hemorrhage, maternal hypertension, and maternal cardiac arrest. It helps close gaps in emergency obstetric care, aligns with national safety standards, and ensures our community has access to timely, high-quality care.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Lenze, this month's Employee of the Month!
With many years of dedicated service, Elizabeth has become an invaluable resource for Valley View Medical Center. She approaches every responsibility with skill and a solution-oriented mindset, and her technical expertise is matched only by her willingness to share her knowledge and lift up the people around her.
What truly sets Elizabeth apart is her heart. When those around her face hardship — whether a coworker, a patient, or a member of our community — Elizabeth shows up fully and without hesitation. She goes above and beyond in ways that are both practical and deeply personal, and the impact she leaves on the people she supports is immeasurable.
Elizabeth, thank you for being the kind of person who makes VVMC a better place to work and heal!
