Adrienne swam the 1.7 mile Long Bridge swim in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Our friend Jennika Landon lives in Idaho and has been trying to get Adrienne to come do this swim for years! Our other friend Melissa Lewis flew in from California to join us for what would be a stellar weekend together!

We all met online years ago through Crossrope Jump Ropes

The swim goes parallel to a walking bridge so we were able to walk along with every stroke of Adrienne’s swim! So awesome!!

We got to finally meet Jennika’s parents and did a workout with Claudia Lofthus Landon (Jennika’s mom).

We worked out together every day, enjoyed our cabin’s hot tub a couple times, and hiked up Schweitzer where we ate lots of incredible huckleberries and thimble berries, saw a beautiful buck, and rode the chairlift back down 😅

We also grocery shopped every day and cooked some amazing meals that we ate out in the deck.

Aside from one very Smokey day from all of the Idaho fires, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend!

We smiled and laughed so much even our “eye bones” hurt (inside joke) 😂

Can’t wait for our next “Roomie Reunion”!!

Just because you haven’t seen us on here in a while…
Doesn’t mean we haven’t been getting busy 😈
This was a much needed time together on the water! We have both been working very hard… and Adrienne has been training even harder 💪

Adrienne had a very busy (and wet) weekend!!

First up was the Bussel Island swim in Lenoir, Tenn where she swam 1 mile in fog and at times torrential downpours!

Thank goodness I had just invested in some awesome rain boots that kept my feet totally dry and quite comfy. It was the only part of me that remained completely dry!

Our friend was a weekend warrior cohort and swam 1.6 miles. Adrienne, Misty, and Jeff (pictured) are lane mates at and all three of them got first place in their individual age groups!!

The photographer at Bussel Island captured an amazing photo of Adrienne swimming fly in a downpour! Perhaps the best photo I’ve seen of Flygirl doing her thing! Thanks Todd Temple 📷😊

Next up was PBR Racing’s Swim/Run race at Meads Quarry in Knoxville, Tenn on Sunday! A swim/run race is a run… then a swim… then a run… then a swim… and on and on like that for 14 miles. Run distances vary between 1 and 4 miles at a time, and swims are up to 1/2 a mile at a time. The tricky thing is that you have to swim in everything you run in and vice versa! No removing of shoes, hence the buoy attached to their waist that they flip between their legs during the swim in order to keep their legs from sinking.

I hiked a steep and at times treacherous 5k and then ran back and forth to different areas to catch Adrienne and Misty as they got in and out of the water.

You think these two would be exhausted… but they got second place female team! The exhaustion came later … once we got home.

Bonus perk: we got to hang with and 🥰🍕

All in all it was a relaxing, wet, fun, sunny, awesome time with friends!

It was a beautiful morning on the trails.

The light… the trees… the crunch of ground beneath our feet.

Adrienne went on an 8 mile run while I mostly meandered for 3.5 miles in this morning bliss!

Such perfect weather to be outside!! Soaking it up! 😎

Adrienne and I adventured to Congaree National Park in South Carolina this past weekend.

We hiked 7.5 miles of remote magical, mystical, mangrove trails.

We both agree that it was one of the most unique hikes we have taken.

Slowly checking off some National Parks and maybe one day we will see the all.
