Through Bridge Builders Leadership Academy, Collegiate 100, Miss C100, and scholarships totaling more than $10,000 annually, we continue to expand opportunity for African American youth across Southwest Florida. More than a legacy, HBCUs are a leadership engine.

Since the 19th century, Historically Black Colleges and Universities have expanded access to higher education and helped shape generations of leaders in the African American community. HBCUs have produced more than 50% of Black teachers, 40% of Black engineers, 60% of Black physicians, and 27% of African American STEM graduates.

We honor this legacy. We celebrate the impact of institutions that have helped shape leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Vice President Kamala Harris, and Thurgood Marshall. Take a moment to reflect on the HBCU legacy that continues to move our community forward.
