There is something deeply healing about having your birth story witnessed, honored, and held with care.

Since 2009, Mindful Birth Services has had the privilege of walking alongside families through some of the most powerful moments in their lives in SWFL, and stories like Kelly's remind us why this work matters.

From her birth story: "A planned home birth, unplanned free birth. No monitors, no chaos, just peace sitting on the bathroom floor, holding our baby girl with my husband beside me."

From an unmedicated hospital birth to an intentionally supported home birth experience, Kelly trusted her intuition, built a thoughtful birth team, and welcomed her daughter surrounded by calm, trust, and experienced support.

Baby girl was caught by her doula Tara, before the midwives even made it through the door ✨

Let's show this powerhouse of a mom some love in the comments as she shares such an intimate and beautiful chapter with our community.

If you're dreaming of a supported, intentional birth experience, whether that's at the hospital, a birth center or at home, this is possible right here in SWFL.

Thinking back to when we started, we've come a long way in 25 years of marriage. This guy right here was my OG 'dude-la' back in 2004 when our now 21 year old rainbow baby was born.

We both own our own businesses (he's a psychologist, specializing in couples counseling ❤️❤️) and life is bursting full with our 3 kids, from college aged down to middle school.

We are the supporters. I'm grateful for his steady support, that he's still my best friend, and when one of us feels a momentary sting of life, we support each other.

Stay grounded, y'all. Remember what is important ❤️ Love your people. The rest of it is all performative social constructs.

Find your breath. Relax your shoulders. You are stronger than you've ever been.

✨ Welcome baby Natalie ✨

We couldn't be happier for 2nd time mom Nicole! She shared her beautiful birth story with us and we are sharing it with you!

Visit us and click on our birth blog for Nicole's story: mindfulbirthservices.com

"I had my first son 7.5 years ago and was only in labor for 10 hours so I figured the second time around would be fast also. No two births are the same! I labored for 25 hours this time.

I started to feel contractions around 5:00pm, but wasn’t sure how strong they were. That is when I decided to contact Tara. She came right away and suggested exercises and to use the birthing ball. That did help in between the contractions, but her idea of using the electric pump is what got labor started. My overnight bag wasn’t completely packed. I didn’t remember my going home outfit, but for some reason thought to myself to bring my electric pump. Contractions in the middle of the night didn’t slow down and it had been a while lasting 50-60 seconds and 1-5 minutes apart. I had back pressure and intense contractions..."

We love a good birth story! Don't stop here though, read the full story on our website and navigate to our "birth blog" for more ❣️

Congratulations and welcome, Natalie🤍

If you're local, this is a really lovely event 🤍

We're honored to be sponsoring on April 18. Bloom is a thoughtful space for this community to gather in SWFL where women connect and learn from trusted providers.

We'll be there, and have added a little something to the raffle: three $100 gift cards towards Mindful Birth labor doula care, with more to come as we get closer to the event!

Come say hi at the Mindful Birth table if you're there!
