Cypress team members, Cypress Cove residents and board members were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new Heights CareerTech Institute campus in Harlem Heights. We’re honored to support The Heights Foundation and its mission to expand access to education, career training, and opportunity in our community.

We’re especially proud that several industry leaders at Cypress Cove serve on the Heights CareerTech Institute’s Advisory Committee, helping provide insight and guidance as the institute prepares students for successful careers in high-demand fields like HVAC/R, nursing and welding.

It was a paw-some day at Cypress Cove! 🐾

Residents and team members brought their furry friends to Edison Hall for our annual Dog Show, where the pups strutted their stuff for a resident panel of judges. Let’s just say, the competition was ruff! 🐶

Brownie, our dapper little wiener dog in a hat, stole the crowd’s hearts and took home the Popular Vote, while Bailey impressed the judges and earned their top prize! 🏆

No bones about it… these pups really know how to put on a show! 🦴🐕💛

Team Member Spotlight: Rafael Zepeda, Maintenance Tech 2, Grounds

For 21 years, Rafael Zepeda has been a dedicated part of the Cypress Cove family, bringing his expertise in AC, plumbing, painting, electrical and more. Rafael says his favorite part of the job is the people, especially the residents. His willing attitude has earned him plenty of praise from residents who call him “one of the gems” on our team. Outside of work, Rafael enjoys biking, soccer, tennis and volleyball. His favorite motto is, “God bless you.”

Thank you, Rafael, for always giving your all, no matter the task.

We are proud to recognize these outstanding team members for the exceptional they provide to our residents and fellow team members each and every day.

A special congratulations to Brian Silveira, Culinary Services Operations Manager, winner of the Good Samaritan category at the Lee County E-Awards! During a recent Easter brunch at Coast Restaurant and Lounge, Brian’s quick thinking and heroic actions made an incredible difference. When a resident began choking, Brian immediately stepped in and successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver, helping save the resident’s life. His calm response, courage, and instinct to care for others truly represent the heart of Cypress Cove.

We are incredibly proud of all five nominees and the difference they make in our community every day. Congratulations! 👏💙
