"The Lincoln Train is coming!" is a phrase people repeated in 1865 all along the 1,666-mile rail route of Abraham Lincoln's funeral procession from Washington, D.C., to Springfield, Illinois. This remains one of the longest funeral processions in history. Without television and social media, the only way that people could catch a glimpse of the late president was by showing up trackside.

Families consistently give us five-star ratings for exceptional care and a high level of personal attention. "The staff was extremely compassionate and understanding of our grief over the loss of our son. Everything was explained, and the cost breakdown was shown. On the day of the memorial service, [they] could not have been more wonderful. I had brought some things of my son's over, such as pictures, favorite jerseys, baseball, etc, and they made a phenomenal display of it. I was overwhelmed with how wonderful it looked. The food they supplied was delicious, and more than sufficient for the people that were there. Their kindness over our every need and desire was unmatched."
