Welcome to 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆!
This week, we’re highlighting one of our amazing clinicians, Angie, someone who turned her own experience of healing into a passion for helping others find connection, creativity, and meaning, even on the hard days.

I became a therapist because I’ve always had a deep passion for helping others and a natural curiosity about people’s experiences. When I was young, I was diagnosed with a few autoimmune disorders and was encouraged to start counseling to help cope with the changes in my life. Beginning therapy at 13 had a meaningful impact on me and shifted the way I viewed both mental and physical wellness. That experience sparked a passion that eventually led me to pursue this work.

Spending intentional time with people who uplift me. Whether it’s a simple phone call with a family member or relaxing with my dogs, being around those who help me feel connected and fulfilled makes a big difference.

Doing something creative. Making jewelry, coloring, or any creative outlet helps me shift my focus away from negativity and into something calming and productive. For me, it can feel like a form of active meditation.

This book explores the idea of finding purpose even in the midst of suffering. Drawing from his experiences during the Holocaust, Viktor Frankl describes how meaning and perspective can help people endure incredibly difficult circumstances. It’s a powerful reminder of human resilience and the importance of purpose.

That therapy doesn’t require you to have everything figured out before you begin. It’s simply a space to show up as you are and explore your thoughts and experiences with support.

Painting my nails. It’s a simple routine that helps me slow down and do something just for myself.
