Shelley Fabares died on Aug. 22 at the age of 82. She first enjoyed success as Mary on ‘The Donna Reed Show’ and later received Emmy nominations for her role on ‘Coach.’ She also had a No. 1 single with ‘Johnny Angel’ and starred in three movies with Elvis Presley.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli attended Cameo of Lee County’s (Cooperative Associates Marketing Elder Options) Night at the Races, their biggest fundraising event of the year, to help support local seniors in need.
“The event was a great success and so much fun, including a best hat contest, derby racing for charity, and a silent auction,” Peter said.
Cameo, formed in 1998, is dedicated to supporting the underserved senior population in Southwest Florida, ensuring they have access to essential resources, services, and opportunities for a better quality of life. We're grateful for their efforts, and the opportunity to join them in serving our community.

Social Workers Rock! That was the theme at the annual Fort Myers Social Worker and Case Worker Luncheon. Neptune Fort Myers and National Cremation Society Fort Myers partnered to co-sponsor the event, which had an enthusiastic turnout. Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli and NCS Service Manager Annie O’ Mara enjoyed the day of appreciation for all the efforts of our social workers in the community.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli, right, attended the 2025 Annual Cameo of Lee County (Cooperative Associates Marketing Elderly Options) grant recipients meeting. $75,000 was given to local nonprofit organizations this year to assist in programs for the elderly. Pictured here is just one of the recipients: Golden Retriever Rescue of Southwest Florida, providing loving companionship to those in need.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli was honored to attend the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s 2025 Days of Remembrance program with Ret. Col. Frank Cohn at the US Capitol for the second year. Frank escaped N**i Germany at age 13 with his mother and was drafted into the Army during WWII. Frank will turn 100 years old this August, and his incredible story is one that remains timeless.
Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick was the keynote speaker, and the message of the day was that we must never forget what hatred can do to a nation and its people. Today there are approximately 220,800 Holocaust survivors alive worldwide.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli was honored to host members of the Seniors Blue Book for a Rise and Shine Breakfast. Local businesses serving seniors turned out for a tour, round-table discussion and networking on what they specialize in and their role in the community. It also gave Neptune a chance to explain what we do, and how deeply committed we are to the families we serve.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli attended the Pancake Breakfast at Amavida Retirement Living in Fort Myers, held for the residents and local businesses to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. It was great to meet Beth Cordi, Amavida's new director of marketing and sales (pictured with Peter), and we’re looking forward to working with Amavida in the future.

Neptune Fort Myers Service Manager Peter Piscitelli presented a check donating to the Cape Coral Police Department's annual Christmas Shop With A Cop program, in which children in need get to spend the day with an officer and shop for Christmas gifts. It’s an honor for us to sponsor two children every year!
