POV: Dr ChatGPT refers you patients

Heather asked Dr Chat đŸ€–: Why does my knee hurt and have swelling behind it?

Dr Chat đŸ€–: pain and swelling behind your knee (in the popliteal fossa) can have several causes. One of the most common is a Baker’s cyst

If swelling persists or recurs, a clinical examination and potentially a musculoskeletal ultrasound can help determine whether it’s a Baker’s cyst, joint effusion, or soft-tissue injury.

Running with hip issues?

Ben felt a strange rubbing that was interfering with X C season.

Over 4-5 sessions, we worked on muscle recovery, scraping, and activation, correcting pelvis rotation.

Now Ben is feeling much better and ready to run fast this Friday at his next XC Meet! 💹💹💹

Let’s Go Ben !

Caught this in the driveway 👀

My nephew feeding my niece BP.

But what you don’t see is happening

💰 The Entrepreneur. He knows his sister doesn’t like feeding the tee, so he offers, “I’ll do it for $5.”

Recognizing a problem and offering a solution someone is willing to pay for. Entrepreneurship 101.

🎯 The Leader. She realizes that if he feeds the tee, she gets to spend more time hitting.

Delegating tasks so you can focus your time and energy on higher-leverage activities. Leadership 101.

😂 The Parents. Pretending not to notice that they’re actually working together instead of fighting, because nobody wants to ruin the moment.

Sports can teach kids so much more than how to hit or throw.
And sometimes, the biggest wins have nothing to do with what happens on the field.

Especially when we take the time to recognize and praise not just the athletes they’re becoming, but the people they’re becoming. ❀

UPDATE 👀

Jackson started his journey with us in July with the goal to return to High Jumping!
It’s his senior year and he is hoping to be recruited to jump in college.
After about 6 weeks of working through progressive loading and strengthening, and controlling inflammation, he was cleared to start practicing at 50% . 🙌

Still have work to do as we assess his tolerance to load and volume, but he is on the way! 📈

Let’s Go Jackson!

Kyle’s time at Apex is over. đŸ„Č Today, she moves on to her next clinical rotation.

She shares a reflection of her favorite patient story.

These are the experiences that impact the PT she will become. Grateful for the opportunity to play a small role in shaping Kyle’s path. ✹

Did you see the LET’S GO Wall at the new CLMS?! đŸ”„

Right outside the gym—5 powerful words that ignite the ATHLETE MINDSET and transcend far beyond sports. đŸ’Ș

đŸ”„ LIMITLESS – Infinite possibilities come to those who believe

đŸ”„ HUSTLE – most important word ever

đŸ”„ GRIT – made up of hustle, passion, and perseverance

đŸ”„ TALENT – means nothing without hard work

đŸ”„ EX*****ON – stop talking and put in the work

💜 That last one? Mine and Mr. Miller’s favorite!

Because these aren’t just words on a wall. They’re a mindset. A standard. A way of LIFE we both share and want to inspire others.

PS - Nothing like getting called out on your own EX*****ON. 😂 Mr. Miller, consider it DONE! 💜
