LARC, Inc. Established in 1954, LARC is a training center for success for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

LARC serves more than 300 individuals annually, and participants range from 14 to 80. LARC offers vocational training, youth programs, community residential and employment services, and a vast array of other state-of-the-art community inclusion services on a full-time, year-round basis. LARC’s main campus is located at 2570 Hanson Street, Fort Myers. LARC also operates two Residential Group Homes.

A Park Designed for Everyone!
Jaycee Park in Cape Coral is now more inclusive and accessible, featuring adaptive equipment, wheelchair-accessible pathways, an adult changing table, and thoughtful features that allow more individuals of all abilities to enjoy the park.
Accessibility creates opportunities for everyone to participate, connect, and be part of their community.

The smiles say it all! In May, LARC artists proudly displayed their work at BIG ARTS Sanibel as part of the Arts by the disABLED Lee Health, and several of their pieces sold!
This week our artists received the money they earned from those sales, and their pride and excitement were priceless. There’s something pretty special about seeing your creativity appreciated—and getting paid for it!

Snow, Raven, Jason, and Shawn are LARC's first-ever Culinary Arts Training Program graduates!
Over 16 weeks, they built real skills: kitchen safety, food prep, knife techniques, teamwork, and the rhythm of a working kitchen. Every lesson brought them closer to meaningful employment.
But their story is bigger than a kitchen. It's proof of what happens when people believe in someone and give them a real chance to show what they can do. That belief is what powers everything LARC does, every day, for nearly 300 people a year.

Thirty-six years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) changed our nation by affirming that individuals with disabilities deserve equal opportunities to work, learn, and fully participate in their communities.
At LARC, that mission continues every day. For more than 72 years, we've empowered individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through life skills training, employment opportunities, advocacy, and community inclusion, because everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
Today, we celebrate the progress made through the ADA while continuing to advocate for a future where every individual is valued for their abilities, not defined by their disabilities. 💙 Happy 36th Anniversary to the ADA!
