Have you been to our clinic recently and noticed the wonderful changes to our lobby? Meet the creator behind our space:
Tera Kitchen is a Chattanooga native, visual artist, and creative spirit with a lifelong love for making things beautiful and meaningful. Rooted in Tennessee, her work is inspired by the people. places, and everyday moments that make life feel connected. With an eye for detail and love for storytelling through imagery. Tera creates art that feels thoughtful, expressive, and full of heart.
Creativity has always been at the center of Tera's life. From early recognition through the Hunter Museum and youth art exhibitions to contrinuiting to Chattanooga Riverpark mural projects, art has long been both a passion and a way of connecting with her community. Her background in art education, visual merchandising, and creative design has shaped her artistic perspective, blending technical skill with imagination and personality.
After spending many years working throughout Tennessee, including in the Nashville area, Tera continues to create work grounded in curiosity, joy, and human connection. Whether through texture, symbolism, or uplifting themes, her art reflects a belief in finding beauty in ordinary things and embracing life with intention.
Outside of being an artist, Tera is a mother of 8, grandmother to 5, and has lived and worked in numerous states and counties to help foster these relationships and give children more support. She has over 20 years of experience navigating the IEP route with many children and families. She has seen firsthand how an IEP team can support not only the child, but the whole family and community. She has learned first hand that the "struggle is real" as her daughter started receiving services with TEIS at the age of 3. She is an active community member, loves hosting special events, volunteers at several nonprofits in our area, and is ready to help our North Georgia families grow stronger together!
Stay tuned for caregiver advocacy groups, continued remodels and improvements throughout the clinic, more community outreach, and other exciting developments facilitated by NGPT and Tera.
