👈 Lefties, today is officially YOUR day to shine and to celebrate navigating a world that wasn't built for you!

While 90% of the world is playing life on default mode, lefties, making up only 10% of the worlds population, are out here mastering the game on hard mode. 🌎 From spiral notebooks leaving waffle patterns and ✏️ pencils leaving graphite on your palm, the absolute betrayal of right-handed can openers and scissors, ✂️ the struggle is real. 😭

But because the brain's right hemisphere controls the left side of the body, lefties could argue they’re literally the only people “in their right minds”. 😉 🧠 Studies have shown that constantly adapting to a right-handed world makes left-handed brains uniquely wired for fast mental processing and out-of-the-box creative problem-solving. 📦

Bingo here is almost always a full house! We have die-hard bingo players, keeping the game exciting, fun and full of surprises. Most of our residents play a couple of cards at once, but some are up to the challenge of managing 6+ cards at once! 😂 We can’t wait until the next game.

Crafting corner has been full of great ideas! Our residents really loved making signs, acrylic cases and cups. So many unique designs were created and admired in the room. 🎨

What a fantastic luau for our Belvedere family! Our residents had a blast watching Hawaiian dancers and cooling off with snow cones. We feasted on roasted hog, Boston butt, cabbage, rice, Hawaiian macaroni salad, and all the fixings. Big thanks to Gentiva Emerald Coast Hospice and Peoples Health Services, and all our amazing community partners who made this day so special! 🌺🍧🐖

Evantha has been a part of our Belvedere family for 17 years, and 14 of those, a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoys getting to know her residents on a personal level, and making them smile each and every day. We are so grateful for her dedication and caring heart. 🩺

Tatiana has been a bright light in our Belvedere family for nearly a year. She loves jumping into every activity and is always the first to lend our activity director a helping hand with setup and cleanup. Her kind heart brings so much joy to our residents, and everyone here is proud to call her a friend!
