🦵 When your kneecap isn’t moving quite right, your knee may let you know.

Patellar tracking disorder occurs when the kneecap does not move properly within its groove as the knee bends and straightens. This can lead to pain around the front of the knee, popping or grinding sensations, swelling, or discomfort during activities like climbing stairs and squatting.

Treatment can vary depending on the cause and may include activity modifications, physical therapy, strengthening exercises, or other options.

If knee pain is interfering with your daily activities, our specialists can help determine what’s causing it and recommend next steps.

Sometimes the biggest role models come in the form of Dad.

For Career Day at Jacob’s Ladder Preschool, Dr. Hawkins’ son knew exactly what he wanted to be, a doctor, just like his dad.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing a child look up to his father not only for what he does, but for who he is. To his patients, Dr. Hawkins is a dedicated physician. But to this little guy, his most important title will always be Dad.

Moments like these are a sweet reminder that our children are always watching, learning and dreaming, and sometimes, they want nothing more than to grow up to be just like us.
