American Medical Group is proud to welcome Anthony Michael Turkiewicz, M.D., to our Rheumatology team in Destin.

Dr. Turkiewicz brings more than 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis, autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and other complex rheumatologic conditions. Prior to joining AMG, he served as Partner and Director of the Clinical Research Unit at Rheumatology Associates, P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama, while also contributing to medical education and research through the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

A graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Turkiewicz completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Rheumatology at Georgetown University Medical Center, including advanced research training with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has served as the principal investigator for numerous clinical research studies throughout his career.

Known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Turkiewicz is dedicated to helping individuals manage chronic rheumatologic conditions and improve their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care.

American Medical Group is proud to welcome Michele Lawson, DO, to our Rheumatology team in Panama City.

Dr. Lawson is a board-certified rheumatologist dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for patients living with arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and other rheumatologic conditions.

With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Lawson has cared for patients in both community-based practices and hospital systems throughout Florida and across the country. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoporosis, vasculitis, Sjögren’s syndrome, and other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.

Dr. Lawson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, cm laude, and Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of West Florida. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency as Chief Resident at Sun Coast Hospital, and completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Throughout her career, Dr. Lawson has been committed to building lasting relationships with her patients by developing individualized treatment plans and utilizing the latest evidence-based therapies to help improve quality of life and long-term health.

Serving Panama City with expert foot and ankle care, American Medical Group is proud to have husband-and-wife podiatry team Dr. Travis Anderson and Dr. Danika Anderson caring for patients in our Panama City office.

Dr. Danika Anderson completed her undergraduate education at The Ohio State University, while Dr. Travis Anderson attended Lamar University. They later earned their Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degrees from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and completed their residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Both physicians are board-qualified in Forefoot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery and provide advanced surgical and nonsurgical treatment for a variety of foot and ankle conditions.

Meet Dr. Luisa Silvia Munoz-Price, our **Infectious** Diseases and Wound Care specialist at American Medical Group - Destin, bringing big‑academic expertise to the Emerald Coast community.

Before joining American Medical Group, Dr. Munoz-Price was a Professor of Medicine at major academic medical centers, where she cared for complex patients, taught the next generation of physicians, and led research in infectious diseases and infection prevention. She is highly published, with numerous scientific articles and book chapters that have helped shape how hospitals across the country prevent and treat serious infections.

She also served as Chief Quality and Safety Officer at a large academic health system, where she oversaw patient safety, infection prevention, and quality-of-care initiatives.
