Recovery takes a community.

As many families across the Gulf Coast continue rebuilding after Hurricane Isaias, access to basic necessities remains a challenge for many menstruators. Your support helps ensure that period products remain available when they are needed most.

I don’t need to tell you that our community was rocked hard by this hurricane. You lived it. And I sincerely hope you made it through okay.

Seeing the pictures and videos of homes and livelihoods uprooted over the course of just a few hours has shaken me to my core. But witnessing how this community works together during times like these is a true honor. Our beaches may be beautiful, but it’s the people who make this place what it is.

Like our restock coordinators who are saying NOPE to period poverty by keeping our pantries stocked before and after Hurricane Isaias.

Instead of taking up too much of your valuable time, I’m here to share some resources you may need compiled by our amazing volunteers. And let you know that I’m thinking of you as we rebuild our community.

In solidarity,

Samantha Sanabria

Our Fort Walton Beach Restock Coordinator Veronica is saying NOPE to period poverty in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias!

The Fort Walton Beach library pantry is currently stocked thanks to her. If you come across any of our other pantries that need some love, will you let us know?

And if you're in a place to, feel free to leave what you can in the pantry.

We've been so inspired seeing how this community has come together after this storm. Don't forget that if you need free period products, check the list of locations on our website to find the pantry closest to you.

The pantry at Jitterbug Beverage Co. will be restocked tomorrow, but be sure to check with the store to see if they'll be open.

Will you help us spread the word and share this post? Period products are still VERY much a need during times like these!

What Is Mutual Aid?

Mutual aid is neighbors helping neighbors. It is rooted in solidarity, community care, and the belief that everyone deserves access to basic necessities.

At Emerald Coast Period Pantry, mutual aid means:
✨ No proof of need required
✨ No barriers to access
✨ Taking what you need and leaving what you can
✨ Supporting those experiencing period poverty with free menstrual products

Our pantry provides essential supplies, including:
🧡 Pads 🧡Tampons 🧡Liners 🧡 Menstrual Cups or Discs

Whether you're donating products, volunteering your time, or accessing supplies, you're helping build a community where everyone is treated with dignity and care.

Together, we can reduce period poverty and ensure that no one has to go without the menstrual products they need. 🩸🩸🩸
